Basic Hair Bows began in 1981 with a simple yet powerful thought: “I can do this.”
After purchasing my first hair bows for my daughter, I realized I could create them myself—and I did.

What started as making bows for my daughters soon grew into making bows for friends, family, and community members. Over time, this passion became a weekend business at a local flea market, creating extra income and unforgettable memories. Within a year, the business expanded into a storefront, where I transitioned from fabric bows to handcrafted ribbon designs using grosgrain and satin ribbons—crafted without tools or templates, in sizes from extra small to mega.

As demand grew, so did the vision. Basic Hair Bows evolved from a passion project into a business rooted in teaching and community. I developed simplified bow-making techniques and created complete DIY Hair Bow Kits so others could learn, create, and succeed—regardless of age or experience.

Today, Basic Hair Bows LLC represents decades of craftsmanship, family tradition, and creative empowerment. From my daughters to my granddaughters and now my great-granddaughter in 2026, this journey continues—still handcrafted, still heartfelt.
